Since Independence,we
have witnessed various changes in the education system. As a developing nation
the objective of our educational system is to accomplish training of skills
which will not only produce a pool of well-educated, skilled and highly motivated
workers, but also to produce citizens with high moral and ethical values. This
is why the quality of education system is so important in order to make this
vision becomes a reality. Of course, effort is required to prepare the
education system to face the challenges in the new millennium. Malaysian
schooling culture must be transformed to one that will enable the graduates to
perform in a global working environment in the information age. Nevertheless,
the Ministry of Education has implemented various educational cultures such as
Expectation School, Smart School, and lately is the Vision School. However, it
is the target of the Ministry that the schools in Malaysia will be Smart
Schools by the year 2010. As for preparation to achieve the goal, MOE has to
look at characteristics of effective schools as a benchmark.
The purpose is to
know the development skill of student in all ways. For example, the cognitive skill
of students in their life. Beside that it also give student the reason to study
smart for the monthly test.
Actually I agree that
government made decision to do monthly
test every year because it really
important to know the development of the students.
